Karen’s journey started 20 years ago when her curiosity in psychology was sparked by the need to know why people feel and behave the way they do.

This curiosity also took her down another pathway as she experienced hypnosis as part of a friends training and felt how powerful the benefits were. She then started studying psychotherapy, NLP and hypnotherapy at the Gold Standard Clifton College which preceded her graduating with a degree in a BSc (Hons) psychology. Karen had a glimpse of how powerful NLP in conjunction with hypnosis worked with her clients so explored the possibilities further, and became an NLP Master practitioner, learning from the master himself Dr Richard Bandler who developed NLP along with his partner John Grinder.

Karen’s constant quest for learning and to find the methods that work best has enabled her to find Havening …a revolutionary technique that helps individuals let go of trauma at a cellular level.

Trauma is encoded differently to normal memory and it is this reason that not only sufferers find so difficult to deal with, but the medical profession has found difficult to treat.

Through her studies Karen found that the latest research showed that trauma usually lies underneath addictive behaviour, anxiety and depression…this has incentivised her to embark on a PhD programme - to gain a better understanding of trauma and addiction and how it can be overcome without taking prescriptive medicine.

Karen is constantly working and training with people at the top of their tree in her field so she is able to offer the best therapies to help people overcome their fears, confidence issues, bereavement, break ups, anxiety, depression, addictive behaviour, phobias, trauma and relationship difficulties.

Karen practices the best therapies that can empower you to deal with these issues to become more confident, have better relationships, deal with fears…. to be the best version of you and to help you become mentally resilient.

Her approach is relaxed, non-judgemental and humorous, with a belief that by releasing any trauma, anyone can take control of their lives so they can drive it in the direction they want to go. Karen adheres to the strict code of conduct and ethics regarding patient care and confidentiality.

She is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and The National Council of Hypnotherapists.
