Chakra Balancing

Chakra's are vortices/wheels of energy. They are primary energy centers. These seven energy centers are located from the base of the spine to the top of the head. Each chakra is associated with particular organs, glands and with certain states of consciousness. In the East the root cause of any physical illness, mental or emotional symptom, is seen to be a blockage in one or more of these chakras. Healing is given through light and energy channeled into each chakra and assessing the flow of energy in the spine and around the body.

How does it work?

Chakras are the body's various energy centres, which are associated with our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. We have seven major chakras and each is associated with an organ or a gland. When the energy is flowing around them, we are healthy. When there is a blockage, we feel ill. Chakra balancing aims to balance the chakras, one by one, to activate the free-flow of energy between them.

What's it good for?

Almost everything, it's commonly used for any number of physical, mental and emotional conditions.

What's involved?

The practitioner scans the energy of each of the body's chakras by placing their hands just above the surface of the skin or clothing. First, the practitioner works on the 7th chakra, which is on the crown pf the head. Then our practitioner moves to the eyebrows, on to the throat, then to the centre of the chest, followed by the solar plexus, which corresponds to the stomach and liver. The 2nd Chakra focuses on the reproductive organs, bladder and kidneys. Finally, the practitioner moves to the base of the spine. Once all the chakras have been covered, the practitioner pulls them into alignment.
