With a primary degree in Health Science, Mirthe holds a post-graduate certification in Functional Medicine from Functional Medicine University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. Her own diagnosis of the autoimmune condition Crohn’s from an early age lead her down a road of “trial and error” in many different areas of treatments. Eventually, always questioning the status quo, she found medical research to relieve her of her disabling symptoms, and only thereafter discovered the new field of Functional Medicine. With a stint travelling the world looking after the NZ Olympic Team and surfers on the World Surfing League, she has since made it her mission to dig deeper, help clients, and provide them the information and tools to address their issues and to live the best possible version of themselves.
Within Functional Medicine, Mirthe focuses on the two areas of health optimization/ anti-ageing and the support if a condition has already developed:
TWO MAIN AREAS OF FOCUS
1. HEALTH OPTIMIZATION, PREDICTIVE BIOMARKER TESTING & ANTI-AGEING
Extend your life and optimize your health, wellbeing and performance by identifying early signs of imbalances before symptoms occur. Receive a protocol of targeted diet, neutraceutical and lifestyle adjustments to optimize and reverse less than ideal markers.
2. SUPPORT OF CONVENTIONAL TREATMENT IF SYMPTOMS ARE ALREADY PRESENT
Functional Medicine seeks to uncover the underlying imbalances contributing to chronic conditions and symptoms through a comprehensive health history, analysis and functional lab testing.
