Cynthia holds a B.S.c in Speech and Language therapy, M.Sc in Human Communications and MA in Teaching English as a second language. She is registered with the Health Profession Councils of South Africa and the UK, the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Association for Speech and Language Therapists in Private Practice.
Cynthia is a very experienced therapist and works with children of all ages. She has specialized in working with children who have speech and language delay or disorder, children in the autistic spectrum and shy or silent children. Cynthia has also specialized in Feuerstein's Educational programme (Instrumental Enrichment) for children with learning difficulties of all kinds.
Cynthia provides assesment, diagnosis and therapy for communication difficulties. She provides advice and training courses for school staff as well as to families, to enable them to support the child's learning. She believes that all people have the potential to grow and to learn, no matter what their current condition and difficulties.
Cynthia also works with teenagers and adults who are not confident communicators. She provides simple and effective techniques to help people become more confident speakers, to present themselves effectively and to lose the fear of public speaking. She has worked with adults in the business world and has helped them to be more effective and confident communicators in their personal as well as their professional lives.
